Edmonson, Superintendent News Release October 16, 2009 Hit and Run Crash On October 16, 2009 at 2:15 AM, Louisiana State Police – Troop D investigated a hit and run crash on Gulf Highway, north of Gauthier Road, in Calcasieu Parish. The crash occurred when a pedestrian, walking north on LA 385 (Gulf Highway) was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling north on LA 385. Injured in the crash was 47 year old Gayle Musk of Westlake, LA. Musk is believed to have been walking from a residence on Tank Farm Road, when she was struck. Musk was transported to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The unknown vehicle continued traveling north on LA 385. The vehicle has been described as a full size pickup truck with damage to the center front area. The damage should include the bumper, grill and hood area of the truck.
