** UPDATE **

A Lake Charles woman faces more charges in the fatal crash that occurred on Interstate 210 Friday night.

Angela L. Oripuk, 44, has been charged with Vehicular Homicide, when investigators from Troop D learned that 5-year-old, Garrett Vice of Vinton , LA died Saturday evening at a hospital in Shreveport, LA from injuries he suffered in the crash. On December 28, 2008, Troopers notified Oripuk of the additional charge of Vehicular Homicide. Oripuk is still recovering from injuries at West Calcasieu Cameron hospital with moderate injuries. Oripuk charges now include, Driving While Intoxicated, Careless Operation, Vehicular Negligent Injuring, 1st Degree Negligent Injuring and Vehicular Homicide.

According to investigators from Troop D, on December 26, 2008 at 9:20 PM, Oripuk was driving a 2005 Dodge Stratus on the Interstate 210 bridge. Oripuk failed to slow down due to traffic congestion and struck a 2001 Toyota Camry in the rear, driven by Buffy Vice, 34, from Vinton, La. The 2001 Toyota Camry, driven by Buffy Vice struck a third vehicle, a 2005 Honda Civic, driven by Nina Sonnier, 20, from Sulphur, La. Nina Sonnier's Vehicle then struck a fourth vehicle, a 1999 Ford F-150, driven by Michael J. McCarty, 30, form Pasadena, Texas.

5-year-old Garrett Vice was sitting in the back seat of the 2001 Toyota Camry properly restrained. A total of six people were injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
