News Release – Region 2 August 17, 2011 Additional Operation Child Watch arrests made Lake Charles – Today, August 17, 2011, investigators with the Lake Charles field office of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office made two arrests related to Operation Child Watch investigations. Investigators served a search warrant at the residence of 50-year-old Michael Bullock of DeRidder. A search revealed child pornography on his home computer as well as media storage files. Bullock was arrested for pornography involving juveniles (distribution) and booked into the Beauregard Parish Jail. In a separate case, investigators arrested 19-year-old Dillon Binford at his residence in Sulphur. Binford used social networking software to engage in sexually explicit chat communications with a 14-year-old female. Binford was arrested for computer-aided solicitation of a minor and was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center. The mission of Operation Child Watch is to rescue children from the potential abuse of child predators by targeting those individuals with sexually explicit images and/or videos on their computers. The Louisiana State Police will continue our efforts to safeguard children whenever possible in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies. | |||
