News Release – Troop D September 20, 2011 Well fire in Beauregard Parish Ragley- This morning, shortly before 6:30 a.m., a flash fire occurred at a new oil well site located about 5 miles west of U.S. Highway 171/Ragley, just south of LA 12 in Beauregard Parish. The well site is operated by Midstates Petroleum. There was one minor injury to an employee who was working at the location when the incident occurred. He was treated at the scene for minor burns and released. The Louisiana State Police Emergency Services Unit, Beauregard Parish Fire District #2, Calcasieu Parish Ward 6 Fire Department, Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office, and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality responded. The scene was stabilized by 7:45 a.m. and there were no other reports of injuries. The Louisiana State Police Emergency Services Unit will conduct an investigation. Contact Information Sgt.
