News Release – Region 2 December 15, 2011 Lake Charles attorney arrested for rape Lake Charles - On November 9, 2011, detectives with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations received a complaint from a female in reference to a rape. The investigation revealed the 21-year-old female went to a Lake Charles bar with 30-year-old Jonathan Johnson of Lake Charles. At the bar, the female received a drink from Johnson. After taking a couple of sips, the female began to feel sick and weak. The investigation revealed Johnson took the female to his house and had sexual relations with her. The female was unable to consent to the sexual act due to her extreme impairment. On December 15, 2011, Johnson was arrested for simple rape and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center on a $25,000 bond. If convicted, Johnson could face up to 25 years in prison.
