Edmonson, Superintendent News Release – Troop D January 5, 2011 Traffic Stop on I-10 Leads to Discovery of 30 Pounds of Marijuana JENNINGS -On January 4, 2011, troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop D stopped a 2011 Hyundai for a traffic violation on Interstate 10 eastbound (MP 60) west of Jennings. Troopers made contact with the driver, 31-year-old Dinh Tri Do of Fort Worth, TX and passenger, 35-year-old Kristine Thi Nguyen of Arlington, TX. Consent to search the vehicle was obtained and approximately 30.7 pounds of hydroponic marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. The marijuana has an approximate street value of $128,000. After detectives with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigation interviewed the subjects, they were both charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Do was also charged with improper lane usage. They were booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail. Contact Information: Sgt.
