TROOP D NEWS RELEASE January 12, 2019 Prairieville Man arrested for Fourth DWI Offense Calcasieu Parish – Troopers arrested a Prairieville man for fourth offense DWI early Saturday morning. On January 12, 2019, shortly after 12:00 a.m., a Trooper assigned to Louisiana State Police Troop D was patrolling on Louisiana Highway 108 when he observed a pickup truck veering into the opposing lane of travel. The driver struck the curb several times and straddled the center yellow line. A traffic stop was initiated and upon contact with the driver, 29-year-old Ryan J. Lindeau of Prairieville, obvious signs of impairment were observed. Lindeau was arrested and transported to Troop D for processing. Upon arrival at Troop D, Lindeau provided a breath sample revealing a blood alcohol content almost 2 ½ times over the legal limit. Lindeau was charged with DWI fourth offense and improper lane use. He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Louisiana State Police will continue to arrest any motorist found to be operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
