| TROOP D NEWS RELEASE May 11, 2018 DeRidder Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography DERIDDER – A DeRidder man has been arrested after child pornography was found on a cell phone in his possession. On May 9, 2018, federal probation officers conducted an unannounced visit at a residence in DeRidder in order to meet with 51-year-old Edward Lee Daughenbaugh. During the visit, it was learned Daughenbaugh was in possession of a cellular device with internet access in violation of his supervised probation requirements. As a result, the device was seized. During questioning, Daughenbaugh admitted the device contained images and/or video of child pornography. A forensic extraction was conducted and the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations was contacted. The device was turned over to state police investigators who verified the presence of child pornography and obtained an arrest warrant. On May 10, 2018, Daughenbaugh was arrested and charged with one count of possession of child pornography. He was booked into the Beauregard Parish Jail. Bond was set at $250,000.
