TROOP D NEWS RELEASE October 23, 2014 Tips Lead to Arrest of Hit and Run Driver On October 20, 2014, at 1:30 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop D responded to a two vehicle hit and run crash that occurred on Louisiana Highway 101 in the community of Lacassine in Jefferson Davis Parish in front of the Bayou Mart Convenience Store. After the crash, the suspect and vehicle fled south on LA 101 toward the community of Hayes. Troopers requested help from the public to identify the suspect. Several people provided tips which led to the arrest of 26-year-old Todd Ryan Myers of Iowa, Louisiana. Myers was arrested this morning for failure to yield from a private drive as well as hit and run driving. He was booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail. We appreciate the people who provided us with tips related to this case.
