TROOP D NEWS RELEASE August 4, 2017 Troopers Arrest Lake Charles Man for Child Pornography LAKE CHARLES, LA—A Lake Charles man was arrested this morning as the result of an investigation into child pornography. Last month, detectives assigned to the Special Victims Unit of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations initiated an investigation into the possession and sharing of child pornography in Calcasieu Parish. The investigation led Troopers to obtain a search warrant for the residence of 43-year-old Robert Lejeune, II of Lake Charles. On August, 4, 2017, Troopers served the search warrant at Lejeune’s residence and determined he downloaded and shared videos of children being sexually abused. Lejeune was charged with pornography involving juveniles and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Bond was set at $100,000. If convicted, Lejeune faces up to a $50,000 fine and from five to twenty years in prison without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. The Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit works to rescue and seek justice for the victims of crimes involving the exploitation of children and the trafficking of humans for sex or labor through investigative partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, and through public education.
