Wanted Fugitives From Arkansas Located And Arrested in Terrebonne Parish

Houma: The Louisiana State Police Region I Criminal Investigative Division’s Houma Office assisted the Terrebonne Parish Narcotic Task Force in locating two fugitives from Ashley County Arkansas.

On Monday, April 4, 2011, the Ashley County Arkansas Sheriff’s Office contacted the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office requesting assisting in locating two wanted fugitives who were possibly hiding in Terrebonne Parish. Lonnie Johnson (W/M, 41 of Arkansas) and his wife, Karen Johnson (W/F, 33 of Arkansas) were wanted for various narcotics violations in Arkansas including manufacturing of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine. Both were facing lengthy prison sentences in Arkansas and were actively eluding law enforcement. Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Louisiana State Police Region I Criminal Investigative Division in locating the fugitives.

Through the joint investigation, authorities were able to locate the fugitives at a local pharmacy in Terrebonne Parish. The Johnson’s were in the process of purchasing products needed for a methamphetamine laboratory. The Johnson’s were arrested and information was obtained of the location where they were living in Houma, LA. Authorities went to the address of 115 Westwood Blvd. in Houma, LA and requested consent to search. During the search of the resident, a one pot methamphetamine laboratory, approximately two grams of methamphetamine, and approximately one ounce of marijuana was located. Present at the address were the following: Sandra Johnson (W/F, 59 of Houma, LA) and Jody Pellegrin (W/M, 51 of Houma, LA).

The Louisiana State Police Hazardous Materials Section and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality assisted in the cleanup and disposal of methamphetamine laboratory.

Lonnie Johnson was arrested and booked as a fugitive out of Arkansas, operating a clandestine laboratory, possession of methamphetamine, and carrying a concealed weapon. Karen Johnson was arrested and booked as a fugitive out of Arkansas, operating a clandestine laboratory, and possession of methamphetamine. Sandra Johnson was arrested and booked for operating a clandestine laboratory and possession of methamphetamine. All of the above individuals were booked at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. Jody Pellegrin was arrested and released on a misdemeanor summons for possession of marijuana.
