Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP C- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: November 9, 2010 Arizona Man Arrested for Fraudulent Documents Houma: On Tuesday, November 9, 2010, LSP Region I Criminal Investigative Division arrested Antonio C. Martinez (H/M, 58 of Mesa, AZ). Martinez is accused of committing the crime of unlawful production of fraudulent documents for identification purposes. LSP Region I Criminal Investigative Division, Houma Office was notified by the Houma Office of Motor Vehicles in regards to a Hispanic male attempting to obtain a Louisiana I.D. with fraudulent documents. When investigators made contact with Martinez he identified himself as Edwin Huertas-Torres. Martinez had in his possession a Puerto Rican birth certificate and Social Security card that had been altered. After further investigation, Martinez’s real identity was revealed. The investigation also revealed that Martinez had paid $1,700.00 for the Social Security card and birth certificate. Martinez was arrested and booked on the above listed charge at the Terrebonne Parish Correctional Facility. No bond was set and a hold was placed for immigration.
