Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP C- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: March 2, 2011 Houma Man Arrested for Fraudulent Documents Houma: On Thursday, February 17, 2011, LSP Region I Criminal Investigative Division’s Houma Office arrested Nestor Aleja Gonzales-Bautista (H/M, 27 of Houma, LA). Gonzales-Bautista is accused of committing the crime of unlawful possession of fraudulent documents for identification purposes, and filing false public records. LSP Region I Criminal Investigative Division’s Houma Office was contacted by the Houma Office of Homeland Security Investigations in regards to a Hispanic male obtaining a Louisiana I.D. with fraudulent documents. This was discovered while Homeland Security Investigation’s Houma Office was conducting an administrative investigation at a local business in Houma, LA. When investigators made contact with Gonzales-Bautista he identified himself as David Vargas-Santiago. Gonzales-Bautista obtained the Louisiana I.D. using a fraudulent Puerto Rican birth certificate and social security card. After further investigation, Gonzales-Bautista was determined to be an illegal immigrant. Gonzales-Bautista was arrested and booked on the above listed charge at the Terrebonne Parish Correctional Facility. No bond was set and a hold was placed for immigration.
