Date: December 2, 2010Walker Man Arrested for Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor
Houma: On Tuesday, November 30, 2010, LSP Region I Criminal Investigative Division served an arrest warrant on Brandon D. Adams (W/M, 21 of Walker, LA.). Adams is accused of committing crimes of computer aided solicitation with a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile. LSP Region I Criminal Investigative Division, Baton Rouge office executed an arrest warrant on Adams at his residence in Walker, LA. Adams was booked at the Livingston Parish Jail and is awaiting extradition to Terrebonne Parish. A bond of $75,000.00 was set.
The arrest stems from the program Operation Child Watch. LSP Region I Criminal Investigative Division, Houma office conducted undercover operations targeting persons intending to contact children on the internet and engaging them in sexually explicit communication. During such operation, Adams engaged in sexually explicit conversation with an undercover trooper posing as a 14 year old female.
The Operation Child Watch was started under the leadership of Col. Mike Edmonson in October 2008. The mission of Operation Child Watch is to rescue children from the hands of abusers, to pro actively investigate cases involving the sexual abuse of children, and educate parents on the dangers of the internet.
