Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP C- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: February 18, 2011 Arrest Warrant Leads L S P To A Meth Lab In Gray, LA. Houma: The Louisiana State Police Region I Criminal Investigative Division’s Houma Office with the assistance of State Police Troop C arrested a man from Gray, LA on two outstanding warrants. One of the warrants was from St. Mary Parish for Production of Methamphetamine and the other was from Terrebonne Parish for Failure to Appear. On Thursday, February 17, 2011, Louisiana State Police served an arrest warrant for the Morgan City Police Department on Scottie Howard Jr. (W/M, 36 of 533 Marietta Place Gray, LA). Howard was accused of the Production of Methamphemine in St. Mary Parish. During the course of the arrest, consent to search was given and an inactive methamphemine laboratory was in the bathroom of his bedroom. Inactive basically means that it had been dismantled after it was used. Numerous chemicals and paraphernalia associated with a methamphetamine laboratory. Three firearms (12 gauge shotgun, 22 cal. Rifle, and 32 cal. Revolver) were also located. Howard was charged with the two above mentioned outstanding warrants and Operating a Clandestine Laboratory, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Firearms in the presence of Narcotics. Howard was booked at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. A bond was set at $250,000.00.
