L S P Arrest A Golden Meadow Man For Threatening A Public Official
Lafourche: On Sunday, February 20, 2011, 3:49 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop C arrested a Golden Meadow man for Threatening a Public Official.
On Sunday, February 20, 2011, Brian Rogers (W/M, 35 of Golden Meadow, LA) was arrested by State Police for the following traffic offences: Improper lane usage, no license plate, stop lamps and turn signals required on new vehicles, proper equipment required on vehicle, and one way roadways. Rogers was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Galliano, LA and released on a Summons.
Rogers contacted Troop C later that day and requested to file a complaint against the trooper. When Rogers was explained the procedure to filing a complaint, he became irate, began using vulgar language, and began making threats that he was going to kill troopers. Rogers was asked to calm down and stop using that type of language. Rogers continued to be belligerent and refused to comply with trooper’s request.
Troopers went to Rogers’ residence and arrested him without incident. Rogers was charged with Threatening a Public Official and booked at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center. Bond was set at $500.00.
