Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP C- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: October 19, 2008 Two Vehicle Crash on LA 308 in Belle Rose Claims One Life Belle Rose- On Saturday, October 18, 2008 shortly after 8:00 PM, a two vehicle crash on LA 308 in Assumption Parish claimed the life of a Belle Rose woman. A 2001 Nissan Sentra, driven by Constance M. Plummer (B/F, 24, of Belle Rose, LA), was traveling north on LA 308 in the Belle Rose community. A 1997 Toyota Camry, driven by Keith J. Falcon (W/M, 34, of Port Allen, LA), was traveling south on LA 308. Plummer's vehicle exited the roadway to the right onto the northbound shoulder for a short distance and then the Sentra was overcorrected to the left back onto LA 308. The Sentra began rotating counter-clockwise as it crossed over the centerline. The Sentra entered the path of Mr. Falcon's vehicle causing a right angle collision. After impact, the Sentra was forced off the southbound shoulder and the Camry came to rest in the southbound lane. There were no passengers in either vehicle. Plummer was not wearing her seat belt during the crash and died as a result of the injuries. Falcon was wearing his seat belt and received minor to moderate injuries. Alcohol is suspected and test results are pending analysis on both drivers. Trooper Dedeaux continues his investigation.
