Unrestrained Gonzales Man Dies in Lafourche Parish Crash

Mathews- On Wednesday morning, November 5, 2008, at about 12:15 AM, a single vehicle crash on LA 308, approximately two miles south of US 90, claimed the life of a Gonzales, LA man in Lafourche Parish.

A 2004 Honda Accord, driven by Isaac Danos Jr. (W/M, 25, of Gonzales, LA), was northbound on LA 308 when he failed to negotiate a left curve near Farm to Market Road. The vehicle left the roadway to the right where it struck a utility pole and re-entered the northbound lane of LA 308. The vehicle then veered back off of the roadway to the right where it struck a guy wire, overturned, and ejected Danos.

Danos was not wearing a seat belt and he was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. Alcohol use is suspected. A blood analysis is pending from the Lafourche Parish Coroner's Office. S/T. Kirk Foret is continuing his investigation.
