Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP C- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: November 10, 2008 Unrestrained Driver Dies in Lafourche Parish Crash Choupic- On Sunday evening, November 9, 2008 at approximately 6:20 PM, Troop C responded to a crash on LA 304 in the Choupic community that claimed the life of a Choctaw, LA man. Clovis Ordogne III (W/M, 31, of Choctaw, LA) was driving his 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 northbound on LA 304 when he failed to negotiate a series of S-curves. He veered slightly off the roadway to the left, overcorrected to the right, and began to rotate clockwise as he went of the roadway to the right. His truck then began to overturn just prior to striking a utility pole. His truck came to rest on its roof in the front yard of 574 Hwy 304. Ordogne died en-route to the hospital. Ordogne was not wearing his seat belt. Alcohol and drug-use are unknown with the results pending from the Lafourche Parish Coroner’s Office. TFC Troy Landry is continuing his investigation.
