Troop C Area Already Feeling Effects of Hurricane “Ike”
Terrebonne, Lafourche, Grand Isle- All roadways within the Troop C area are currently open with the exception of these few closures:
¨ LA 1 south of the Leon-Theriot floodgate from Golden Meadow to Grand Isle.
¨ Dulac Pontoon Bridge has been closed due to rising water making the bridge inoperable.

Water is rising in the extreme lower portions of Terrebonne and Lafourche parish at this time. Your Troop C troopers are working tirelessly with all partnered agencies to ensure the community is prepared to handle the effects of Hurricane Ike. Information will be passed on if roadways become impassable and are forced to be closed due to rising water.
