Edmonson, Superintendent State Police Searching For Hit and Run Vehicle December 29, 2008 Louisiana State Police – Troop C is currently investigating a Hit and Run fatal crash on LA 3235, within Lafourche Parish. On Friday, December 26, 2008 at approximately 7:05 P.M. Troop C was notified of a fatality crash on LA 3235 near the Wal-Mart in Galliano. Fifty-five year old Dwain Carrell of Cut Off, La, was removing debris from the left southbound lane (inside lane) of LA 3235 when he was struck by an unknown southbound vehicle. Carrell was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries he sustained as a result of the crash. Investigators have recovered a piece of plastic lens at the scene. At this time, no witnesses have come forward to provide a description (make, model, or color) of the hit and run suspect vehicle. “Alcohol or Drugs, Impairment is Impairment!
