Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP C- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: December 11, 2008 Winter Weather Driving/Road Conditions in Troop C Area Troop C- On Thursday morning, December 11, 2008, at approximately 8:00 AM, Louisiana State Police Troop C and DOTD will be closing two bridges in the Troop C area. Those two bridges that are being closed as of now are the Veterans Memorial Bridge and the Sunshine Bridge. Both bridges cross the Mississippi River. As more information becomes available, it will be passed on. Please refrain from driving in this weather if you can. Don’t go out in this weather just to sight see. Roadway conditions can deteriorate rapidly and it is just not safe to be on the roadways if you can avoid it.
