On Thursday, August 07, 2008 at approximately 2:50 AM, Troop C troopers were notified of an overturned 18-wheeler on the on-ramp to US 90 eastbound in Lafourche Parish.

An 18-wheeler, driven by Elijah Kraemer, 23, of Gray, LA, was attempting to enter the U.S. 90 eastbound on-ramp (right curve) to New Orleans from LA 182 when it overturned onto its left side and slid to a stop. The 18-wheeler was fully loaded with cold produce. It took several hours to offload and upright the truck. The roadway was re-opened shortly after 9:00 AM. The 18-wheeler belongs to Performance Food Group on LA 316.

The driver was transported to Terrebonne General with minor injuries and was later released. He was charged with Careless Operation. TFC Brent Dufrene continues his investigation.
