| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE TROOP C- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: March 26, 2008 Wanted Arizona Man Arrested During Cocaine Distribution Investigation On March 25, 2008, Louisiana State Police/West District Narcotics/Morgan City Field Office arrested an Arizona man at Morgan City Motel during a cocaine distribution investigation. The investigation began when troopers received information that Clyde N. Norwood (W/M, 53, from Arizona) was involved in selling cocaine in and around St. Mary Parish. Troopers soon learned that Norwood was wanted from Maricopa County, Arizona for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. Troopers contacted the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and confirmed that the warrant was still active. Maricopa County authorities agreed to extradite Norwood once he was arrested. Troopers learned that Norwood was currently living in room 220 of the Morgan City Motel. After troopers established surveillance at the motel, they observed Norwood in his room. They approached Norwood and placed him under arrest for the warrant. Norwood admitted that he was aware of the warrant and was hiding from Arizona authorities. Norwood was jailed at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office awaiting extradition to Arizona.
