| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE TROOP C- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: April 24, 2008 North Terrebonne Crash Critically Injures One On Thursday, April 24, 2008 at approximately 4:00 pm, a two vehicle crash at a busy northern Terrebonne Parish intersection left one driver critically injured. A 2002 Dodge Ram, driven by Kevin Klingman (W/M, 24, of Bourg, LA) was northbound in the left lane of LA 20 approaching its intersection with LA 3185. Having the green signal, the Dodge proceeded into the intersection and struck a 1996 Oldsmobile 88, driven by George Robinson (B/M, 19, of Houma, LA). Prior to impact, the Oldsmobile was traveling east on LA 3185 and disregarded the red signal prior to entering the intersection. The front of the Dodge struck the passenger side of the Oldsmobile. After impact, the Dodge rotated clockwise and stopped partially in the right lane and northbound shoulder. The Oldsmobile continued east and came to rest in a bayou. Mr. Klingman, who was wearing a seatbelt, refused medical aid and reported only minor injuries. He submitted to a breath alcohol test with a result of .000g%. Mr. Robinson was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Thibodaux Regional Hospital with life threatening injuries. Alcohol use is unknown on the part of Mr. Robinson, but results are pending analysis from the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab. Tpr. Corey Pennison is continuing his investigation.
