TROOP A NEWS RELEASE October 6, 2015 Driver Succumbs to Injuries after Two Vehicle Crash in Ascension Parish St. Amant, LA – Shortly before 4:00 pm on October 5, 2015, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a two vehicle crash involving serious injuries at the intersection of LA 934 (Black Bayou Rd.) and George Rouyea Rd. in Ascension Parish. This morning, Troopers were informed that 56 year old Terri Hill of St. Amant, LA had succumb to injuries she sustained in the crash. The initial investigation by State Police revealed that the crash occurred as Hill was traveling southbound on George Rouyea Rd. in a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt. Hill came to a stop at the intersection of George Rouyea Rd. and LA 934. At the same time, 42 year old Lori Robert of Gonzales, LA was traveling westbound on LA 934 in a 2001 GMC Yukon. For unknown reason, Hill proceeded to make a right turn onto LA 934 into the path of Robert’s vehicle. Hill’s vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by Robert’s vehicle. Hill and Robert were both transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital with moderate to serious injuries. Troopers were notified this morning that Hill had succumb to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by doctors at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Both drivers were properly restrained and impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the crash. A toxicology sample was taken from Hill and Robert and will be submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis. Contact Information: | |||
