Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP C- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: June 26, 2008 Raceland Man Critically Injured in Dirt Bike Crash On Wednesday, June 25, 2008 shortly after 7:00 PM, a Raceland man was critically injured after being ejected from the dirt bike he was operating on St. Louis Street. Marcus Ingram (B/M/23 of Raceland) was operating a small, unlicensed dirt bike eastbound on St. Louis Street when he proceeded to pass an eastbound vehicle. Shortly after passing the vehicle, he ran off the roadway to the right where he struck a ditch. Mr. Ingram was ejected from the dirt bike; whereby, his head struck a culvert. He was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to St. Anne Hospital in critical condition. The owner of the dirt bike is currently unknown. Alcohol/drug use is unknown with results pending from the LSP Crime Lab. Charges are pending. Trooper Kirk Foret is continuing his investigation. For more information contact: TFC Gilbert B.
