| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE TROOP C- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: May 11, 2008 Schriever Man Dies in Single Vehicle Crash in Terrebonne Parish On Sunday, May 11, 2008 a single vehicle crash in Houma, LA claimed the life of a Schriever, LA man. At approximately 1:30 am, Zachary Leblanc, 23, of Schriever was driving a 1998 Chevrolet truck west on LA 182 approximately 2 miles west of Savanne Rd. Zachary Leblanc was traveling at a high rate of speed when he left the roadway to the right, corrected to the left and then overcorrected back to the right. The truck left the road to the right where it struck a tree. Leblanc, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the truck. Leblanc was the only occupant in the truck. He received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol and drug use are unknown at this time; however, blood tests are pending analysis. There are no charges in the crash. Troopers are continuing their investigation.
