Belle Rose Crash Claims the Lives of Two Donaldsonville Residents

Belle Rose- Two Donaldsonville residents were killed early this morning when their vehicle traveled off LA 1 and struck a tree in the Belle Rose community in Assumption Parish.

A 2007 Nissan Altima, driven by Hannah Musco (W/F, 28, of Donaldsonville), was traveling south on LA 1, north of LA 999, in a left curve when the Nissan went off the roadway to the right and struck several mailboxes. The Nissan then struck a tree head-on and came to rest.

Musco was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Assumption Parish Coroner’s Office. A rear seat passenger, Brad Hidalgo (W/M, 28, of Donaldsonville), was not wearing a seat belt and suffered fatal injuries. Musco and Hidalgo were the only occupants of the vehicle. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash pending analysis from the Assumption Parish Coroner’s Office. This crash occurred on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at approximately 1:50 AM. Tpr. Chris Mason is continuing his investigation.
