Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP C- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: October 12, 2009 Cut Off Man Dies in Single Vehicle Crash in Southern Lafourche Parish Galliano- Just after 9:00 PM last night, a Cut Off man died after his vehicle went off of LA 308 and struck a tree head-on in Lafourche Parish. A 1992 Lexus 300, driven by Jeremy Dantin (W/M, 37, of Cut Off, LA), was southbound on LA 308 near East 73rd Street when his vehicle veered off the roadway to the right. The Lexus traveled nearly 100 ft off the roadway before striking a tree head-on. Dantin was pronounced dead on the scene by the Lafourche Parish Coroner’s Office. Speed is not suspected to be a factor in the crash and Dantin was wearing his seat belt. This crash occurred on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at approximately 9:05 PM. Tpr.
