Morgan City Man Ejected and Killed in Terrebonne Parish Crash

A single vehicle crash on LA 20 at US 90 claimed the life of a Morgan City man in western Terrebonne Parish.

A 2002 Honda Accord, driven by Brian Fair (B/M, 28, of Morgan City, LA) was traveling west on LA 20 in the right lane at a high rate of speed. Fair failed to negotiate a slight right curve, went across the left lane, off the roadway to the left, and struck an impact attenuator. After impact, the vehicle rotated counter-clockwise, crossed both lanes of travel, and off the right side of the roadway where the Accord struck a concrete bridge support. Fair was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Fair was pronounced dead at the scene by the Terrebonne Parish Coroner's Office. Alcohol/drug use is unknown pending toxicology results from the Terrebonne Parish Coroner's Office. This crash occurred on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at approximately 12:55 AM. Trooper Dustin Richard is continuing his investigation.
