Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP C- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: October 25, 2009 Two Teens Die in Dularge Area Crash Dularge- Yesterday evening at approximately 6:30 PM, Two Houma teens died when their vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle on LA 315 in the Dularge community in Terrebonne Parish. A 2005 Pontiac G6, driven by Mckinley Scott Jr. (B/M, 19, of Houma, LA) was northbound on LA 315 just south of Houma. Scott entered a right curve in the roadway and crossed the centerline. The Pontiac struck a southbound 2007 GMC Denali, driven by Olga Vela (W/F, 43, from Morgan City, LA). Vela sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Terrebonne General Hospital by Acadian Ambulance. Mckinley Scott Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene by the Terrebonne Parish Coroner’s Office. The only passenger in the Pontiac, Rolanda Garner (B/F, 15, of Houma, LA), was transported to Leonard Chabert Medical Center where she was pronounced dead after arrival. Alcohol is not suspected; however, toxicology results are pending. Seat belts were used by all occupants. This crash occurred on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at approximately 6:30 PM.
