The crash took the life of 83 year old Paula Cruze of Mexico City, Mexico. The crash also resulted in the arrest of 35 year old Cody Terry of Houston, TX. The initial investigation by State Police revealed that the crash occurred as Terry was traveling eastbound on I-12 in a 2001 Chevrolet Impala. At the same time, 33 year old Julio Cardenas of Cumming, GA was traveling eastbound on I-12 in a 1999 Ford Expedition. They were all transported to North Oaks Hospital in Hammond for treatment of various injuries.
