TROOP C - NEWS RELEASE April 6, 2015 5th Annual Bayou Region Public Safety Expo Gray, LA- Louisiana State Police-Troop C has partnered with numerous other public safety agencies in an effort to promote public safety and relations within our community by hosting the “Third Annual Bayou Region Public Safety Expo” at the John L. Guidry Stadium located at Nicholls State University on Saturday, April 11 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The event will include free food and drinks, blood drive, K-9 demo, interactive training tools, safety demos, child safety seat inspections, and other demonstrations from numerous agencies. The displays will range from mobile command posts, helicopters, SWAT equipment, K-9 units, motorcycles, patrol units, ambulances, fire trucks, patrol boats, and much more. This event is free to everyone and will be an opportunity for the public to meet with public safety-related organizations about their roles in Louisiana’s safety. Troop C and all other participants would like to take this opportunity to extend an open invitation to the public and media to come out and enjoy this fun free event. The mission of the Louisiana State Police is to ensure the safety and security of the people in the state through enforcement, education, and other essential public safety services.
