TROOP C - NEWS RELEASE May 12, 2015 **UPDATE** Vehicle and Driver Located from Hit and Run Crash on LA 57 Yesterday, Louisiana State Police Troop C received a tip from a concerned citizen in reference a vehicle matching the description that was given for a hit and run vehicle on LA 57 from the 5th of this month. Using the information, Troopers went to 211 Final Ct. in Houma, LA and located the vehicle, a silver 1995 Dodge pick-up truck. The vehicle had fresh damage to the right-front fender area and windshield that matched the damage resulting from the crash. Troopers located the vehicle's owner, Toni Friloux (W/F age 53). Friloux admitted to driving the vehicle at the time of the crash and was arrested for Improper Lane Usage, Careless Operation, Hit-and-Run, and Negligent Homicide. She was booked at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. Houma, LA- Shortly after 12 pm this afternoon Louisiana State Police Troop C began investigating a hit and run fatality crash on LA 57 in Terrebonne Parish involving a bicyclist. The investigation revealed that a Schwinn bicycle was traveling north on LA 57 in the southbound shoulder, near the Ashland Jail. The bicycle was being operated by Robert Clowder Jr. (age 46) of Houma, LA. At the same time, an unknown vehicle was traveling south on LA 57 approaching Clowder. The unknown vehicle traveled onto the southbound shoulder of LA 57 and struck Clowder head-on. Clowder and the bicycle were thrown into a ditch off the southbound shoulder of LA 57. The unknown vehicle then left the scene of the crash. It is unclear what time the crash occurred. Clowder was last seen leaving his house around 8:45 pm last night.
