*Updated Cold Weather Road Closures for the Troop C Area*

US 90 Eastbound has been reopened for travel in the Troop C area along with the LA 182 Amelia Bridge.

There are still several road and bridge closures in the Troop C area. The duration of the closures are currently unknown and will remain closed until it is safe for vehicle traffic.

Closures:

Assumption Parish:

      - US 90 Westbound at the Amelia Bridge (St. Mary Parish line) is CLOSED.

Lafourche Parish:

      - The St. Charles Bridge, Bellevue Bridge, and the Rita Bridge crossing Bayou Lafourche are now CLOSED.

St. James Parish:


    - LA 70 at the Sunshine Bridge is CLOSED

St. John Parish:
    - LA 3213 at the Veteran’s Memorial Bridge is CLOSED

Due to the multiple road closures and re-openings throughout the state and Troop areas, we recommend that you use one of these options to help with your road closure questions:
    - You can log onto http://www.lsp.org/roadclosure.html to access the Louisiana State Police Road Closure page on our website, or find it under the “Alerts” tab on the main page.
    - You can call 511, or log onto 511la.org to access the Department of Transportation and Developments travel information.
      - You can also subscribe to Nixle Alerts for real time updates on roadway closures, crash locations, and pertinent safety information for your region. To enroll for this free service, visit www.nixle.com, complete the required information and select Louisiana State Police as your agency.

    Remember that the best option in poor weather conditions such as this, is to stay off the roads until optimal travel conditions return.

    Motorists that witness hazardous situations are urged to call *LSP (*577) and report that activity to the Louisiana State Police.
