Troopers Arrest Driver in Fatal Livingston Parish Hit & Run

Greensburg, LA- This morning, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A made an arrest from the fatal Juban Rd. hit & run that took the life of Corey Peeples. Troopers arrested 49 year old Debra Bridges of Greensburg, LA for Hit & Run and Obstruction of Justice.

Based on evidence and information collected through their investigation, Troopers were able to determine that Bridges was the driver of a blue 2001 Ford F-150 that struck and killed Peeples in Livingston Parish on December 20, 2016. Troopers obtained an arrest warrant for Bridges and a search warrant for her vehicle. At approximately 2:00 am this morning, Troopers located Bridges and her vehicle at a residence in Greensburg, LA. Bridges was placed under arrest and booked into the Livingston Parish Jail. Bridges vehicle was also taken to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for processing.

Troopers Seek Hit & Run Vehicle that Killed Pedestrian in Livingston Parish Crash

Denham Springs, LA –Shortly before 6:00 pm on December 20, 2016, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating hit and run fatality crash involving a pedestrian on LA 1026 (Juban Rd.) south of Interstate 12 in Livingston Parish. The crash took the life of 36 year old Corey Peeples of Denham Springs, LA. Troopers are now asking for your assistance in locating the hit and run vehicle and driver.

The initial investigation by State Police revealed that the crash occurred as Peeples was walking on LA 1026. For reasons still under investigation, Peeples was struck by a vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. That vehicle immediately fled the scene and was last seen traveling southbound on LA 1026.

Based on witness statements and evidence collected at the scene, Troopers believe that the suspect vehicle is a blue 1997-2002 Ford pickup. The suspect vehicle should have damage to the left side and should also be missing the driver’s side mirror.

This crash remains under investigation, and Troopers ask that anyone with any information regarding this crash please contact Louisiana State Police Troop A at 225-754-8500, or their local law enforcement agency.
