TROOP C NEWS RELEASE February 14, 2017 Theriot Man Killed in Submerged Vehicle Dularge, LA – Shortly before 8:00 pm last night, Troopers from Troop C were advised of a single vehicle fatality crash on LA 315 near Dr. Beatrous Road. The crash took the life of 40 year old Jason Price of Theriot, LA. The preliminary investigation revealed Price was traveling north on LA 315 in a 2004 Toyota Tacoma when he entered a right curve in the roadway. For unknown reasons, Price crossed the centerline and ran off of the road to the left. Price’s vehicle crashed into Bayou Dularge and overturned. He was unable to escape and suffered fatal injuries. Price was pronounced deceased by the Terrebonne Parish Coroner’s Office. Alcohol involvement is suspected to be a factor in the crash; however, standard toxicology tests are pending. Price was restrained at the time of the crash. Time and time again, Troopers witness preventable motor vehicle crashes. Impairment is one of the primary causes of crashes across the state of Louisiana. Nearly half of the fatal crashes in Louisiana are caused by impaired drivers. Louisiana State Police urge motorists to have a plan in place that includes a designated driver when consuming alcohol. Please choose to not drive impaired or ride with an impaired driver, and always buckle up. Contact Information: | |||
