| TROOP C NEWS RELEASE June 21, 2016 Texas Man Arrested in Terrebonne Parish for Possession of Child Pornography Houma, LA – Today in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana State Troopers and investigators assigned to the Houma Bureau of Investigations along with the US Homeland Security Investigations-Houma Office arrested Thomas Walker of Orange, Texas on charges of Possession of Child Pornography.The investigation began on June 6, 2016 when Troopers and HSI were contacted by authorities in Texas for assistance in locating Walker in Terrebonne Parish for a probation violation. Walker, a 20 year old from Orange, Texas, was a convicted sex offender and had recently relocated to Chauvin, LA. Troopers and investigators were able to locate Walker and placed him under arrest for the probation warrant. While in State Police custody, Walker led investigators to believe his cell phone contained images of child pornography. Troopers seized the phone until a warrant to search the phone could be obtained. Walker was then extradited to Texas to face the parole violation warrant. Troopers obtained and executed the search warrant on his cell phone last week and discovered numerous images of child pornography. Earlier today, an arrest warrant for the charge of Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles in Terrebonne Parish was sent to Texas authorities and Walker was booked on the warrant where he is incarcerated. Walker is awaiting extradition back to Louisiana. The exploitation of children is something the Louisiana State Police takes a strong stand against.
