Troop B – Traffic Advisory Traffic Advisory for St. Charles Parish On September 10th and 11th, 2011 several roadways in St. Charles Parish will have lane closures due to the movement of oversized vessels into the Valero Refinery. Louisiana State Police Troopers will be stationed on the impacted roadways in order to ensure motorists’ safety and facilitate the movement of traffic. The impacted roadways are listed below, along with the dates and times of the expected closures. Sept 10th, CC Road (LA 628) north bound to Airline Hwy (US 61), 2:00 am- 5:00 am total closure of roadway. Sept 10th US 61, 5:00 am – 6:00 pm north bound lanes of US 61 (Bonnet Carre Spillway bridge) from LA 628 to Shell Motiva Pipe rack will be closed and two way traffic will be placed on the south bound lanes of US 61. Sept 10th US 61, 6:00 pm – Sept 11th 2:00 am north bound lanes of US 61 (Bonnet Carre Spillway bridge) at Shell Motiva Pipe rack will be closed and two way traffic will be placed on the south bound lanes of US 61. Sept 11th, 2:00 am – 12:00 (noon) north bound lanes of US 61 from Shell Motiva pipe rack to LA 627 will be closed and two way traffic will be placed on the south bound lanes of US 61. Sept 11th, 12:00 (noon) – 2:00 pm, LA 627 (Prospect Ave) closed to traffic. Louisiana State Police would like to remind the public to drive carefully while traveling through the affected areas. There will be troopers, work crews and other equipment in the area and extreme vigilance is required. The public’s patience is appreciated.
