Wanted Fugitive From Mississippi Located And Arrested in Orleans Parish

New Orleans: The Louisiana State Police Region I Criminal Investigative Division’s New Orleans Office located and arrested a fugitive from Hattiesburg, MS on a warrant for capital murder.

On Sunday, May 29, 2011, the Hattiesburg Police Department contacted the Louisiana State Police Region I Criminal Investigative Division requesting assisting in locating a wanted fugitive who was possibly hiding in Orleans Parish. Gerald Taylor (B/M, 27 of MS) was wanted on a warrant for capital murder in Hattiesburg, MS.

Through the joint investigation, authorities were able to locate the fugitive in the 2300 block of Elysian Fields in New Orleans, LA. Taylor was arrested and booked at the Orleans Parish Prison as a fugitive out of Mississippi and is waiting extradition back to Hattiesburg, MS.
