Troop B - NEWS RELEASE Troopers Investigate Crash in Paradis, LA Troop B – This morning, at approximately 12:50 AM, Louisiana State Police Troop B responded to a motor vehicle crash on LA 631 (Old Spanish Trail) at Audubon Street in Paradis, LA. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by Danny Dominick Jr. (W/M, age 44) of Houma, LA, was traveling west on LA 631 and for unknown reasons veered off the road to the left. The vehicle then entered a ditch, which caused minor damage to the vehicle. Dominick was unrestrained at the time of the crash and pronounced dead on the scene. Investigating troopers do not suspect speed or impairment; however, toxicology results are pending the outcome of the autopsy. Troopers suspect that Dominick’s prior medical history may be a factor of the crash. Louisiana law requires that every single person in a motor vehicle be restrained, regardless of seating position. Louisiana State Police will continue to aggressively educate the community about the importance of seat belts. The primary function of a seat belt is to keep you INSIDE the vehicle and in your seating position. Buckle Up, Every Trip, Every Time! Contact Information: Trooper Melissa Matey | |||
