Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP B- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: November 29, 2010 Slidell Resident Killed in Crash on I-310 Troop B – This afternoon, shortly before 12:50 PM, Louisiana State Police Troop B investigated a fatal crash located on I-310 south near LA 3127. Preliminary investigation revealed a 2002 Buick LeSabre driven by Christopher D. Blanchard (W/M, age 30) of Slidell, LA, was traveling south on I-310 in the left lane. For unknown reasons, the Buick exited the left lane, traveled through the right lane and into the grassy area impacting a billboard support post. Blanchard was ejected from the Buick and pronounced dead on the scene. Speed is not a factor of the crash, Blanchard was wearing a seat belt and driver impairment is unknown at this time. Autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
