| HEADQUARTERS NEWS RELEASE February 16th, 2012 **Media Invitation** Louisiana State Police Operational Briefing for Carnival 2012 New Orleans, LA - On Friday, February 17, 2012, the Louisiana State Police will be conducting their annual operational briefing for the New Orleans Mardi Gras detail. LSP will have over 150 Troopers deployed in the New Orleans area to supplement the New Orleans Police Department throughout the French Quarter and Central Business District beginning Friday, February 17th through Wednesday, February 22nd. The briefing will take place at 4 PM at the Port of New Orleans Building located at 1350 Port of New Orleans Place. Louisiana State Police Superintendent Colonel Mike Edmonson and New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Ronal Serpas will address troopers from across the state assisting NOPD with calls for service, conducting proactive crime deterrent patrols, and public assists.
