Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations Arrests Numerous Individuals in New Orleans Metropolitan Area

The Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations brought three separate criminal cases to conclusion this past week resulting in arrests across south east Louisiana.

On July 17, 2012, Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations arrested Ding Quang Bui (O/M, age 29) and Quyet Quang Bui (O/M, age 32) both of Laplace, LA, for Cultivation of Marijuana and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana. The arrests followed an investigation of a traffic stop on I-10 east in West Baton Rouge Parish, where troopers found Ding Bui in possession of six gallon containers of liquid Hydroponic Flowering Solution. A search warrant was obtained for a residence in St. John the Baptist Parish and detectives seized approximately 150 marijuana plants, approximately 2 ounces of marijuana buds and numerous paraphernalia items used in the cultivation of marijuana. Both subjects were booked into the St. John the Baptist Parish Correctional Center.

On July 18, 2012, Louisiana State Police Detectives, assigned to the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Task Force (HIDTA), arrested Trey Chenier (B/M, age 19) of New Orleans, LA, for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) and Illegal Carrying of Weapons while in Possession of a CDS. The arrest stemmed from an investigation where detectives received information about Chenier distributing high grade marijuana in the French Quarter area. During the investigation, a search warrant was obtained and detectives seized approximately one pound of hydroponic marijuana, one loaded AK 47 assault rifle and one handgun. Chenier was booked in the Orleans Correctional Center.

Following an investigation into a complaint received by the LSP Bureau of Investigations Hammond Field Office, troopers have arrested 46 year old Donald Juge of Slidell, LA charged with Exploitation of the Infirmed. Troopers’ investigation revealed soon after Juge’s wife was diagnosed with dementia, he chose a lump-sum payout of her retirement for a total of over $12,000. Juge then abandoned his wife forcing her to live in inadequate conditions with no immediate care while he fled and established residence out of state. Upon the issuance of an arrest warrant for Juge, he was located by authorities in Hancock County, MS and placed under arrest. On July 18th, 2012, Juge was extradited to Louisiana and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on the above charge in addition to three additional outstanding warrants.
