Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP B- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: August 21, 2009 ***I-10 Traffic Advisory*** Troop B- New Orleans metropolitan motorists can expect delays on I-10 this Sunday. On Sunday, August 23, 2009 between the hours of, 6:00 am and 6:00 pm., I-10 will be reduced to one lane of traffic in both directions due to construction between Bonnabel Blvd and Clearview Parkway. Traffic will be diverted off Interstate 10 at the Causeway Blvd exit and will be directed through the exit onto the collector road before returning to I-10. Motorists are encouraged to utilize U.S 61 (Airline Hwy) as an alternate route. During the same period, the following on-ramps will be closed: I-10 eastbound on-ramp from northbound Causeway Blvd will be close and motorists will be directed to continue southbound on Causeway Blvd to U.S. 61 (Airline Hwy). I-10 westbound on-ramp from northbound Causeway Blvd will be close and motorists will be directed to Veteran Memorial Blvd. Motorists will be allowed to make a U-turn under the Veterans Blvd overpass and return to southbound Causeway Blvd where they can access the westbound on-ramp to I-10. I-10 westbound on-ramp at Bonnabel Blvd will be close. Motorists are encouraged to utilize Veterans Blvd to access I-10 at Clearview Blvd. The Louisiana State Police is encouraging all motorists to make adjustments in travel time and to utilize alternate routes when traveling in these areas.
