| NEWS RELEASE LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DATE: February 24th, 2008 Single Vehicle Fatal Crash in St. Charles Parish On Sunday, February 24, 2008 at 4:57 AM, Louisiana State Police, Troop B investigated a single vehicle fatal crash on U.S. 90 westbound near LA 306 (Bayou Gauche Road). The crash involved a 1995 Chevrolet S-10 pick-up driven by Mr. Brandon J. Boudreaux (W/M, 23 yrs), of Thibodaux, LA. The Chevrolet was traveling westbound on U.S. 90 in the left lane near LA 306 when for an unknown reason the vehicle struck the raised concrete median, traveled across the westbound lanes and exited the right side of the roadway, where it struck several trees before coming to a stop. Mr. Boudreaux suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene. Mr. Boudreaux was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Speed is considered a factor in the crash. Driver impairment is unknown at this time. (Results pending a toxicology examination.) Trooper Travis Cancienne is continuing his investigation. | |||
