Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP B- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: July 16, 2008 Impaired Drivers Checkpoint On Thursday, July 17th, 2008 the Louisiana State Police, Troop B in coordination with the St. St. Charles Sheriff’s Office will conduct an impaired driver’s checkpoint somewhere in St. Charles Parish, between the hours of 6:00 pm and 6:00 am weather permitting. This checkpoint will focus on any driver who has consumed alcohol or drugs. If these drivers are found to be impaired, they will be removed from the road and arrested. This is a continuing effort conducted by the Louisiana State Police to educate the public of the dangers of impaired driving and reduce the number of impaired drivers on the roadway.
