Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP B- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: May 18, 2008 Single Vehicle Fatal Crash in St. Bernard On Sunday, May 18th, 2008 at 12:31 AM, Louisiana State Police, Troop B investigated a single vehicle fatal crash on LA 39 (Judge Perez) near Legend Street. The crash involved a 1999 Ford Pick-up driven by Brock Dolese (W/M, 30 yrs), of Violet, LA. The Ford was traveling southbound on LA 39 at a high rate of speed approaching Legend Street when the driver lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle then slid sideways towards to the median at which time the vehicle’s right tires struck the raised curbing of the median. Upon striking the curbing the vehicle began to roll onto the grassy median striking a tree with its roof. The driver, Dolese suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene. Mr. Dolese was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash. Driver impairment is unknown at this time.
