Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP B- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: November 5, 2010 New Orleans Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking Troop B – This morning, Louisiana State Troopers assigned to the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant at 1737 Tita Street in Algiers. The warrant stemmed from a narcotics investigation of a New Orleans resident, Dustin Dinet (B/M, age 23). The search yielded approximately 1.1 pounds of marijuana that was pre-packaged for distribution, approximately 1 ounce of crack cocaine and various narcotics related paraphernalia. Troopers also seized approximately $830.00. Another New Orleans resident, Ormonisha King (B/F, age 19) was arrested with Dinet at the residence. Both suspects were charged for Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Dinet was also charged for Resisting Arrest. The High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program enhances and coordinates drug control efforts among local, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies. The program provides agencies with coordination, equipment, technology, and additional resources to combat drug trafficking and its harmful consequences in critical regions of the United States.
